Nerds Who Can Draw

I said I would be quiet, but I just got back from a Web Standards Group Melbourne meeting, and have a whole stack of cool URLs to look up and faces to put to them, so thought I would share the linkage love.

To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I came away very impressed. Cameron Adams, aka The Man In Blue, spoke very eloquently while giving us all a sneak preview of his redesigned portfolio which looks waaay cool and really breaks the two-column mould for sites designed in XHTML/CSS.

Also met a bunch of other cool people - designers, coders, even a real member of WaSP!

Geeky? Yes. Inspiring? Absolutely. Fun? You bet.

Now back to work.

Hey Matt,

I was just doing the same as you - checking out all the great URL's from tonight's WSG meeting, and I see that you've made a post about the meeting already! Talk about hot off the press!

Nice site too, mate.

I'm not getting out much but I'm really glad I got along last night. My first 'code meet' so to speak. Great to look under the hood at the new maninblue and meet some good people. Love the hand drawn top img Matt. You wouldn't beleive me if I said I'd been looking at doing something similar? Oh well. Site looks very... well designed. Sheez, time to sit down,

Ryan
